Picture Your Future Grad Party

We had an amazing time putting together this "Picture Your Future" graduation celebration for my nephew. He recently graduated from 8th grade and will be beginning his freshman year of high school in the fall. His parents wanted to celebrate where he was going so we decided to use his soon to be school colors of forrest green, gold and white.

When I saw the printables from Piggy Bank Parties I knew it would be perfect for what I was trying to create for Anthony. The set included this cute banner, party signs/cards and a photo banner amongst other items.

On the dessert table we had some really cute sweets. The graduate cap sugar cookies were done by Torrance Bakery. We lined the wooded tray with green liner from Michaels to add some color.

I purchased some Pirourette chocolate filled waffer cookies and hand tied green ribbon to resemble a diploma. They were really a hit!

We layered the table with a green and gold material from Joann's to add pops of green along side the black and white printables. Some other accents we used were bottles of Jones soda. It was fun and was a suttle and we added green ribbon when possible. When purchasing store bought cupcakes add toppers and liners to give it a different look. We used "cap" toppers and graduation liners from Party City to give the ordinary yet tasty cupcakes some flair.

The fabolous cake pops from Creole Primas were amazing. I love that they added black and white straws which was the perfect accent. The lemon flavored pops did not last long!

Class rings! Of course, we used assorted ring pops! What do you think?

Included in the printable set from Piggy Bank Parties was a photo banner.  I asked the parents to send school pictures of Anthony. We added pictures from Kindergarten all the way to 8th grade. I think we saw a few tears from the parents!

Each guest was able to write a note to the graduate and send him well wishes as he embarks upon his high school journey. Piggy Bank Parties included these sheets and left spots for photos. We are going to add pictures from his graduation and make a special scrap book for him as a gift. Nice personal touch!

Here are more pictures from the celebration that we enjoyed!

We are so excited and proud of Anthony for his accomplishments. He graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and received the Presidential Award. We look forward to great things from you and best of luck at St. Monica's High School in the Fall.

Have a Blu day!
Candice
