Minnie Mouse Birthday Soiree

My daughter's birthday is coming up on St. Patrick's Day and last year we had a Minnie Mouse themed party. It was amazing and had some awesome party people help me pull this off. Some projects were DIY projects but I had a great time creating a special day for my little Sweet Pea.

We ordered a custom Minnie Mouse tee from MyIttyBittyShoppe. They were extremely efficient and the shirt was perfect. My little Minnie couldn't stop smiling!!

The Minnie Mouse ears for the little guests were a DIY project. While doing a little research, I came across a template for the ears. I used the template from The Suburban Mom. I decided to use the heavy black felt I purchased at Michaels for the ears which seemed to be very sturdy. I got a few spools of black ribbon, and a pack of 10 headbands from the Dollar Tree. I wasn't able to locate as many black headbands so that is why I decided to just use black ribbon to wrap the headbands I purchased.

Custom Minnie Mouse cake pops were made by a family friend as a gift for my little one and guest. They were amazing!

All of the party printables were from the ever so talented Michelle of Printabelle. The printables were all free items listed on her website. I just added the Something Blu touch to make it pop! The black & white straws and pink picture frames were from Michael's. Always have what I need!

The hot pink popcorn boxes and table runner were from Oriental Trading Company. Here are some other pictures from the soiree!

The Minnie Mouse banner was another DIY project. I used the same template from The Suburban Mom for the base. For the white pinwheel I folded white card stock like a fan, opened and glued the ends together. For the letters I used letter die cuts. Each Minnie Mouse head shape punched a hole thru and tied together with two different types of ribbon. All of the paper supplies I purchased from Michael's.

Make sure to check back for this years Paw Patrol birthday for ideas and more DIY projects!

Men's Formal Fashion

My hubby is very much a fashion guy and loves to stay on top of the latest trends in men's fashion while setting his own styles and trends. I often chat with him about what is in the now while also stalking his Pinterest boards! I have been checking out new styles, especially formal wear as wedding season quickly approaches.  Although there are countless designs out there, many men are creating styles of their own. I would consider myself to be a classic kind of girl so a black tux suits me just fine! However, I have also come to love things with a modern twist.

A close friend, Bernard of Canary48 creates custom handmade bow ties for any occasion. While typically we think of men and bow ties, I have seen some super hot ladies rocking  Canary48 fashion. He recently posted his new white bow tie with black trim and I almost fainted! Its amazing! Not only would this be awesome for any groom on his special day but also perfect when you just want to wear a one of a kind bow tie for a night out. Fashion forward & stylish...I think hubby and I need a night out on the town :)
